Top 10 Holiday Events Your Kids will Love

  1. Hersheypark Christmas Candylane / Sweet Lights – Hershey has a variety of events for families during the Christmas season.  My favorite is the N.O.E.L. show of lights in the park, especially riding Skyview or the Wave swinger during the show.
  2. Dinner with Mrs. Claus at Kitchen Kettle Village – This dinner has become a family tradition.  A family-style dinner, followed by a story and carols by Mrs. Claus, then smores and cookie decorating in the village.
  3. Koziar’s Christmas Village – One million Christmas lights decorating buildings, gift barns, and the landscape – a sight to see!
  4. ZooLights at the National Zoo – More than half a million lights transform the National Zoo in Washington D.C. for this magical event.  It is free, so go early in the season to avoid the largest crowds.
  5. Night Before Christmas Train – Strasburg Railroad – This will be our first year attending, as it always sells out so fast.  My daughter’s excitement stems from getting to wear her pajamas for the train ride!
  6. Dutch Winter Wonderland – Rides, lights, and holiday fun.
  7. Christmas Magic: A Festival of Lights – Rocky Ridge Park – Also a family tradition, thousands of lights and decorated buildings to walk through.  Watch for your township or borough’s BOGO night if you live in the York area.
  8. Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro – Holiday scenery for your photo with Santa, but remember to go early in the Holiday season, as the line to see Santa gets longer as it gets closer to Christmas.   Lots of other activities for the kids too.
  9. Breakfast with Santa – Chocolate World – A Chocolate-themed breakfast and photos with Santa.
  10. Elizabeth Farms – Christmas Tree Farm – Horse-drawn wagons take guests through the farm to pick out the perfect tree.
