Fairville Park is located at 1000 North Fairville Ave in West Hanover Township. This township is north east of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
There is a small parking lot for the park, which is located right beside the playground. This playground contains several slides and structures to climb.
The playground also has a seesaw and swings. It’s bordered by trees on one side, so hopefully they provide a little bit of shade in the summer.
Beside the playground is a large pavilion with picnic tables. There are also horseshoe pits by the pavilion.
The pavilion also features two charcoal grills. I didn’t notice any restrooms at this park. It’s a bit of a drive from the closest store and highway, so plan accordingly.
By the pavilion is a walkway that goes toward the stream. Since it was winter, we didn’t follow the path, but it looks like there is a nature walk along the stream.
Fairville Park Zip Lines
The best part of this park is the zip lines. The zip lines are in a separate area of the park, that is reachable across a wide grass field. It only takes a minute or two to walk to the zip lines from the main playground area.
When we visited on a warm day in February, one of the zip line cables was missing. So, we only got to use one of them. Hopefully, the other zip line will be fixed soon.
By the zip lines, there’s also two rock structures with a tightrope walk in between. Beside the rocks is a gaga pit.
The area by the gaga pit and zip lines also has a bench to sit and watch the kids play.
