Longs Park is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, along Harrisburg Pike. The park is close to Park City Mall, and it’s a very popular park in the Lancaster area. It’s also close to Route 30.
When you arrive at Long’s Park by the main entrance on Harrisburg Pike, bare right around the pond and wind around to the playground area. There’s parking along the edge of the playground, along with a restroom building.
Long’s Park Playground
The playground at Long’s Park is a relatively new playground located close to the center of the park. It replaced a large wooden playground structure a few years ago.
There is a fence surrounding this playground. The playground’s surface is soft rubberish material, so a stroller can navigate it.
There are many types of climbing structures and sliders on the main playground structure. It’s a woodland theme, with many “trees” built into the structure.
There’s also a dome climber, and a large set of swings. The set includes two baby swings. There are benches in front of the swings.
Longs Park has much more to offer than the playground. There’s a pond with fountain, picnic tables, and an amphitheater for concerts.
A walking path surrounds the pond, which is bursting with color in the springtime. There’s also picnic tables by the pond to enjoy lunch before playing at the playground.
The park also features picnic pavilions and a tennis court.
Longs Park Events
During typical years, the park is home to many events in the warmer months. There’s a summer concert series, an arts and crafts show, and more.
