Stonewall Resort – Roanoke, WV

Stonewall Resort is located at 940 Resort Drive in Roanoke, West Virginia. The resort sits inside the Stonewall Resort State Park, one of West Virginia’s newest state parks.

The resort is located close to I-79 in central West Virginia. It features cottages, cabins, and a lodge-style accommodations.

The lodge is situated on the lake and includes three restaurants, a spa, and an indoor / outdoor pool.

Both the indoor and outdoor portions of the pool have hot tubs. The outdoor area boasts lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a small snack shack. If the snack shack is closed, the indoor restaurants are nearby.

The pool area is also close to the fire pit. S’mores kits are available at the bar in the restaurant, TJ Muskies. The fire pit has a lovely view of the lake.

The lake has a boardwalk to enjoy the surrounding views. It is even lit at night for an evening stroll.

Stonewall Resort Restaurants

While there are two other restaurants at the lodge, TJ Muskies is the most causal pick, and has kids meals available on the menu. While the kids ordered the usual pasta and chicken tenders, we opted for the nacho plate, which was particularly good.

In addition to the pools and spa, the resort has boat rentals on the lake, bike rentals, and fishing. At the marina, be sure to check out the fish.

Fish food is available inside the marina building for a small fee. The fish are VERY active. Be careful, you could get splashed!
