Get in the holiday spirit by driving through Hershey Sweet Lights! The entire experience is viewed from the comfort of your warm car. Holiday music can be tuned in on your car radio. Sweet Lights has their own radio station! Special glasses are distributed to see the lights in a unique and amazing way.
Sweet Lights Location
Hershey’s Sweet Lights is a bit hidden behind The Hotel Hershey. Though, a portion of the lights can be seen as you drive to Hersheypark along Hersheypark Drive. There is a sign along Hersheypark Drive to direct cars to Sweet Lights.
Access Sweet Lights by turning onto Sand Beach Road from Hersheypark Drive. This is the intersection where Red Robin and Wendy’s are located. From Sand Beach Road, turn left onto Boat House Road. The address for Sweet Lights is 1183 Sandbeach Road, Hummelstown, PA.
Hershey Sweet Lights Cost [2023]
If you purchase tickets online, you can save on your 2023 Sweet Lights tickets. Online, tickets range from $24.95 to $50.15 plus taxes and fees. Be sure to purchase online before 5 PM on the day of your visit. For the cheapest tickets, go Monday through Thursday during the first two weeks of December.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate, but the rates are higher than the online ticket prices.
Drive Through Length
The length it takes to drive thru Hershey Sweet Lights will be totally dependent on how busy it is when you arrive. Weekday nights are often the least busy times to visit.
If it’s not busy, the drive through experience may take about a half an hour. If it’s busy, plan for a much longer experience. There is an emergency exit about half way through the lights, if needed.
There are four main sections of Sweet Lights. There’s the entrance with the large signs and twelve days of Christmas lights. Then, you’ll enter the Victorian Village, followed by the Enchanted Forest. Last, you’ll see some well-known fairy tales.
Hershey Sweet Lights Hours
Sweet Lights is open during the holiday season, from late November until around New Year’s Day. Sweet Lights typically opens at 5 PM and closes at different times depending on the day of the week. Always double-check operating days and times on the Hersheypark website before heading out.
Hershey Lodging Options
If you’d like to continue your Hershey experience by also staying at one of their official resorts, Hershey Lodge and The Hotel Hershey, usually have special packages during the holidays. Keep in mind that the Hershey Lodge has an indoor water park. There’s also an arcade, onsite restaurants, and a very festive atmosphere during the holiday season.

The Hotel Hershey also has an indoor pool with small splash pad. Some rooms even overlook the pool, plus there’s onsite restaurants and the beautiful grounds of the hotel.

Sweet Tips for the Drive
We like to stop and get some hot cocoa before heading to Sweet Lights.
While there is at least one emergency restroom stop, it’s a good idea take a restroom break before heading to Sweet Lights.
Use the special glasses they give to you to see the lights in a unique way!
Go on a weeknight early in the season for the least-busy experience.
