Penn Township Community Park is located at 4601 Grandview Road in Hanover, Pennsylvania. The park was recently renovated from a wooden play structure to a new playground.
The playground is located a short walk from the large parking lot. A few steps lead to the main playground, or it can be accessed from the side without the steps.
The larger play structure is at the back of the playground. There are many climbing opportunities to get onto the structure, with several slides coming from the structure.
A dome climber and a dish swing are situated among the larger play structures. Two checkers tables line of side of the playground, but you must bring your own checkers to take advantage of these tables.
The playground is rounded out with a long set of swings.
For picnicking, there are a couple of tables available under a small grove of trees beside the playground. For an even shadier option, there is a large grove of trees and a pavilion on the other side of the playground.
The park also features sand volleyball courts and baseball fields. Restrooms appeared to be a line of porta potties in the parking lot, but we did not venture over to them to check out their condition.
