First Energy Stadium is located at 1900 Centre Ave in Reading, Pennsylvania, and is home to the Reading Fightin Phils baseball team. Reading is located between Lancaster and Allentown.
This historic baseball stadium has many ticket options. One of the ticket options is the Character Pool Party, which includes access to a small set of pools in the outfield, as well as picnic tables and a buffet meal. This area of the ball park is only accessible to those with pool party tickets. Be sure to reserve your tickets online before heading to the stadium.
There are three levels of picnic tables, each with a view of the outfield. This area also includes a bar with adult drinks, a soda fountain, and restrooms.
The pool features many bench seats underwater, allowing for a cool seat to watch the game. The pool opens when the gates open, and in our experience, closes in the middle of the ninth inning.
While the food for the buffet may change, our buffet included hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled chicken sandwiches, chicken legs, mac and cheese, smiley fries, potato salad, pasta salad, chips, and cookies. A self-serve soda fountain is available for unlimited drinks. The buffet lasts two and a half hours.
In addition to the pool party, kids games are available in the concourse in “Phunland”. A wristband can be purchased for access to some of the games, while some games can be purchased separately. There’s a large inflatable slide, a mini-golf-type putting game, pitching speed for balls, and a ring toss game.
Tips for Attending a Reading Fightin Phils Game
Weeknights tend to be less crowded, especially for the character pool party. Always reserve your tickets in advance.
Parking is free, except for in a small preferred lot very close to the stadium.
For the pool party, be sure to remember towels and sunscreen.
Check their promotional calendar and be sure to schedule a night with a pool party. Some nights they do not offer the pool party, and other nights can be sold out due to groups. Try to line up a great promotional night, or even a night when they have a fireworks show!
