Sponsored Post – Hersheypark hosted us at Hersheypark Camping Resort as part of the Sweetest Family program. All opinions are my own.
Hersheypark Camping Resort is conveniently located within a few miles of Hersheypark and other attractions such as Hershey Gardens, ZooAmerica, and The Hershey Story. The sign for the camping resort can be seen from Route 39, which is Hersheypark Drive.
After turning from Hersheypark Drive, you’ll head down a road that leads to the camping resort.
Upon entering the camping resort, you see a red barn structure on your left and a stone house on your right. The campground store, registration, arcade, and pool restrooms are located in this red barn building. For registration, there are parking spaces along the pool where you can park to register with the camping resort.
Types of Lodging at Hersheypark Camping Resort
Hersheypark Camping Resort has spaces for tent camping and RVs. There are also rustic log cabins, one bedroom and two bedroom deluxe cabins.
The log cabins do not include indoor plumbing, but the one and two bedroom cabins have bathrooms with showers and a kitchenette with a sink.
The one bedroom cabins include a pull-out couch, table, and TV. Note that the cabins do not have the normal hotel amenities. There isn’t soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. Toilet paper and paper towels were available, but only one roll. If you’re planning a few night stay, you’ll want to bring all of the needed paper products.
The one bedroom cabins include two sets of bunk beds. One bunk bed is a twin / twin bunk, while the other is twin over double bed. There’s also a pull out couch in the one bedroom cabin. The two bedroom cabins have a twin / twin bunk, a twin / double bunk, and a queen bed.
Each site, cabins, tents and RVs include one picnic table and one fire ring. Firewood is available at the store in the main building.
Campground Playground
The campground features a small playground by the stream. There are willow trees throughout the property, which give it a beautiful look. For more recreation opportunities, check out the arcade and pools.
Pools at Hersheypark Camping Resort
There are actually three pools at Hersheypark Camping Resort. One pool is a small, round kiddie pool. The other two pools are much larger. The pools are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. They have specific hours when they are open. When you arrive, check at the registration desk for pool hours during your visit.
Campground Store
The campground store opens early in the morning. It has all of the necessities, including coffee and slushies. There’s tons of camping supplies available, and of course, Hersheypark souvenirs and clothing.
Hersheypark
Hersheypark is a short drive from the campground. To take advantage of the resort benefits for staying at the campground, be sure to have proof of your stay. At registration, they can print a parking pass that can serve as proof that you are staying at the campground.
Use the parking pass at the front gate to enter for the extra preview hours and Sweet Start. The parking pass also includes parking, though the shuttles to the park are available at the campground.
