Eyler Road Park is located along Eyler Road in Thurmont, Maryland. The park is situated close to Route 15, in the northern area of the town.
The park installed new playground equipment in early 2024. The new playground includes a main play area by the park pavilion, and a smaller play area behind the concession stand.
The main playground has unique sports themed elements leading up to a two story structure with slides. There’s also ropes climbing elements and a smaller slide for younger children.
A row of swings border the main playground. There are two baby swings, two regular swings, and a dish swing.
Some lower play elements are also at the main playground. A statue of two cougars symbolize the area school’s mascot to show their cougar pride!
A smaller playground is located behind the concession stand, near the sports fields. This playground features a climbing structure with slide. There are also two baby swings in this area.
A pavilion with picnic tables sits beside the main, larger playground. There’s a small parking lot in this area, as well. Note that two port-a-potties were located at the park during a visit in March 2024.
