The Museum of Ice Cream is located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. The address of the museum is 558 Broadway, New York. Note that there are three other locations of the Museum of Ice Cream in major cities around the United States. This post will focus on the New York City location.
Tickets should be reserved in advance, as they are timed tickets and they often sell out. Upon arriving, you’ll scan your tickets at the door. Be sure to fill out a waiver before arriving to save time.
Once inside, there is a lobby area with ice cream treats available for purchase. After entering the museum, you can enjoy unlimited ice cream samples included with your ticket purchase.
When entering the museum, you will first choose your ice cream name and create a name tag for yourself. After this room, the museum is self-paced as you wonder through the decorated and interactive rooms.
Each room has a different theme. Mostly, it’s obvious where to get your ice cream samples, but in one of the first rooms, the dining room, there’s a small door in the wall to get your ice cream treat.
Some rooms seem to be mainly for taking photos, while others are interactive. There’s a small bounce pad for children in one room, and a circular room with walls of sprinkles.
One of the favorite parts is the slide, which takes you from the second floor of the museum down to the basement. The basement has the sprinkle pool and the carnival room, with swings, climbers, and other games to enjoy.
