Local Homestead Products is a farmer’s market with a 5-acre playground beside it. The address of the market is 2425 Marston Road, New Windsor, Maryland. The playground is free to visit, but requires adult supervision. The playground is only open during the farmer’s market store hours.
The farm market carries fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, baked goods, and candies. There are also flowers located outside the market.
Outside, the 5-acre farm features many opportunities for play, plus animals! There are several goats, as well as a donkey to visit.
There are several different play opportunities including a play set with swings. A set of tractor tires and a climbing wall lead to the top of one of the playsets.
There’s a farm playset with a tube slide. Picnic tables are available throughout the play area to sit and rest or eat some goodies purchased from the farm market.
There are many other play elements, including wooden see saws, rolling barrels, and swinging barrels.
There’s also a basketball hoops set up made from a piece of farm equipment. One entire section of the playground is a tricycle track.
