The Fulton Steamboat Inn is a themed hotel located along Route 30 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The hotel is meticulously-themed to make guests feel as they are on a steamboat in the Victorian era.
Inside the hotel, the décor and furnishings continue the theme of a Victorian-era steamboat. It’s fun to take notice of all of the theming details throughout this area.
Coffee is available in the lobby in the mornings, as well as a rotating variety of flavored water and lemonade in the afternoons.
Fulton Steamboat Inn Guest Rooms
The nautical-theme is also evident in the guest rooms. There are three decks of rooms with a variety of layout choices. The Promenade Deck is the most kid-friendly floor with nautical and Victorian-themed rooms with two queen beds or one king bed and bunk beds.
The bunk beds can be a single over a double bed, and some even feature a trundle bed.
The Observation Deck is the second floor which also features queen bed rooms and king bed rooms with a sleeper sofa. The top deck, known as the sun deck, is only for guests who are 16 years or older. Some of these rooms have private balconies. There’s also a Captain’s Lounge seating area located on this floor.
Playground and Pond
The grounds of the Fulton Steamboat Inn include a playground and pond with a short walking trail around the pond.
Of course, the playground is also nautical-themed, with a boat play structure and swings. To the side of the playground is also a wooden train set.
Beside the playground is the pond. There are many ducks that frequent the pond, making it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Around the pond are chairs, picnic tables, and two gazebos.
The pond is a great area for a picnic during nicer weather. It’s also nice to enjoy the fire pit on a summer night. S’mores kits are available for purchase in the Gift Emporium.
Pool and Hot Tub
The pool at the Fulton Steamboat Inn is located at the end of the hallway on the Promenade Deck. The bottom of the pool features Koi fish images, which is a nod to the koi pond outside. There are many chairs surrounding the pool, as well as a couple of tables. Towels are provided.
Beside the pool is a hot tub. Note that there’s adults-only swim hours late at night.
Huckleberry’s Restaurant and Tavern
The Promenade Deck of the Fulton Steamboat Inn features a full-service restaurant and tavern. For breakfast, there’s a menu available, as well as a family-style breakfast served at your table. Hours for lunch and dinner are limited and vary, so contact the hotel for specific hours and special events.
For breakfast, reservations at Huckleberry’s Restaurant are recommended, but not required.
Gift Emporium
The Gift Emporium on the Promenade Deck features many Steamboat-branded and nautical-themed gifts. There’s also necessities, drinks, and snacks available for purchase.
