York is home to several great parks with playgrounds. The parks have a wide-variety of play equipment and things to do. Check out these best playgrounds near York, PA:
Cousler Park
Cousler Park is located at 1060 Church Road in York, Pennsylvania. The park includes walking trails, two playgrounds, and many sports fields.
The main, large playground is called the Inspiring Home playground. There’s a tot lot, as well as a large structure for older children. In the summer, there are mist sprayers in the large playground.
There’s also a smaller, separate playground with many opportunities for kids to climb.
Springetts Castle Park
Springettsbury Township recently renovated this playground close to the York Galleria Mall along Route 30. The playground is called Springetts Castle Park. There’s now a large slide structure, zip line, and tot playground.
The larger park at this playground called Springettsbury Park includes a walking trail, amphitheater, basketball courts, and many pavilions.
Mill Creek Park
Mill Creek Park in the Dover area, just north of York, includes a large slide structure, swings, and a rope climber. This park is smaller than the others on the list, but still a very fun park.
Windsor Wonderland
Windsor Wonderland is located at 1600 Windsor Road in Red Lion, which is southeast of York. The playground was recently renovated to include a large play structure with many slides. There’s also a line of swings.
John Rudy Park
John Rudy Park is located at 400 Mundis Race Road in York. This park features two playgrounds and an expansive dog park. There are also multiple pavilions and a paved walking trail.
Violet Hill Park
Violet Hill Park is located at 340 Tri Hill Road in York. This is a newer park with a play set for older children and smaller toddlers. There are also basketball courts and a short walking path.
Daniel’s Den
Daniel’s Den Playground is bit of a drive from York, but worth the extra time in the car. This playground is located at 530 Central Manor Road, Lancaster. This park is large and includes a pavilion, so it’s a great park to take a picnic lunch.
This park also has mist sprayers in the summer, so a chance of clothes for kiddos who like to get wet might be necessary.
