While all of these indoor water parks are near Delaware, they are not actually located in the state. However, there’s a wide-variety of indoor water parks and outdoor water parks close to Delaware, for both summer fun and all-seasons fun.
Great Wolf Lodge – Perryville, Maryland
Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, Maryland opened in June 2023. This new indoor water park features 27 slides, a seasonal outdoor pool, an adventure park with mini golf and a ropes course, mini bowling, and much more.
There are many onsite restaurants, including sit down restaurants and a Dunkin’ Donuts at Great Wolf Lodge. Perryville is close to Havre de Grace, which is also great for day trips to walk along the water.
Big Kahuna’s Water Park – West Berlin, New Jersey
Big Kahuna’s Water Park is located close to the New Jersey Turnpike, typically less than an hour drive from Wilmington. The indoor water park features a lazy river, toddler slides, a toddler swim area, and activity pool.
The seasonal outdoor water park at Big Kahuna’s has a wave pool, and a large regular pool with cabanas. Big Kahuna’s is located close to Diggerland, a construction-themed amusement park. Diggerland has an outdoor seasonal water park, too, called The Water Main.
Kalahari Resort – Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania
Kalahari Resort is a large indoor water park located at 250 Kalahari Boulevard in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania. There are two large toddler areas in the indoor water park with numerous slides. There’s a tiny lazy river and over-water swings for toddlers, too.
For older kids, there’s a wave pool, water coaster, and many tube and body slides. There are onsite restaurants and many other indoor activities available at Kalahari Resort.
Dreamworks Water Park – East Rutherford, New Jersey
Dreamworks Water Park is located inside American Dream. American Dream is a retail and entertainment complex located in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Dreamworks water park is home to the largest indoor wave pool in the world. There’s also a lazy river, tons of water slides, and a water coaster.
Camelback Resort – Tannersville, Pennsylvania
Camelback Resort is a ski resort in the winter, but also features an indoor water park and a seasonal outdoor water park. The outdoor water park is called Camelbeach. The indoor water park connected to the Camelback Resort is called Aquatopia.
Aquatopia has a wave pool, themed lazy river, water coaster, a head-first mat water slide, and a drop slide. Cabanas are available for rent. There’s also a small toddler area with slides.
Hershey Lodge – Hershey, Pennsylvania
Hershey Lodge is one of the official resorts of Hersheypark, and it also includes an indoor water park with an overnight stay. The water park includes small toddler slides and two larger twist body slides.
Hershey Lodge has a zero-depth entry children’s pool has some water geysers. The larger activity pool has a basketball hoop and a Reese’s water walk, like the lily pad walk at other water parks.
North Arundel Aquatic Center – Glen Burnie, Maryland
North Arundel Aquatic Center is a smaller water park, but still has a couple of slides and water features, such as a water bucket and vortex area. One important note is that North Arundel Aquatic Center only allows potty-trained children over three years old. Swim diapers are not permitted in the pool.
North Arundel Aquatics Center is located at 7888 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. There are certain timed swim sessions, so be sure to check their website for hours.
Great Wolf Lodge – Scotrun, Pennsylvania
While there’s a Great Wolf Lodge now closer to Delaware in Perryville, Maryland, there’s also a Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. The Poconos is a popular vacation destination, with several indoor water park choices.
The Poconos location of Great Wolf Lodge has a water coaster, water play structure with slides, wave pool, and toddler slide and play area.
